Summer Fun Part 4 {Greenville, SC Family Photographer}

So I missed a week of Summer Fun activities …but we were at the beach having fun!  Before we left we made one of my all time favorite toys …play dough.  The recipe is super simple, makes a huge batch to share and if sealed up lasts longer than the store bought.  Plus you can select your own color and add some extract for fun smells.  And not only is it a play activity, it is great for working on motor skills especially for kids learning to write.

3 cups flour
1.5 cups salt
6 tsp. cream of tarter
3 tbsp. oil
3 cups water

Pour all ingredients into a large pot. Stir constantly over medium heat until a dough ball forms by pulling away from the sides. Knead dough until the texture matches play dough (1-2 minutes). Store in plastic container. Should last for at least 3 months.

(And yes, Ridge has his shirt on backwards (letting him dress himself) and a band-aid on his forehead …no cut, he just thinks it looks cool.)
