Last week the boys were in gymnastics camp. The camp was at the gym where lessons are given and the team trains. It was a big lofty gym. There were mats and beams everywhere (and an awesome foam pit). It smelled like sweat, chalk and determination. The walls were lined with trophies and banners. The girls were working so hard bounding across the floor and flipping into the air. You could see the glimmer of Olympic hopeful in their eyes. It was so much fun to watch. When I was little I took gymnastics for years. I loved it. I worked so hard and would get lost in the Summer Olympics dreaming it was me. And then came the injuries and the end of one childhood dream. But I had so much fun taking pictures. Can’t wait to finish them all for them.
PS…I want to say Summer Olympics one more time. I’m about to POP. I LOVE the Olympics.
