When Ridge was 2, now 4, we carved a family pumpkin. He was so excited talking about his pumpkin and the spooky face it would have….until Daddy cut the top off the pumpkin and he cried and cried that we killed it. It is one of those parent moments where you are comforting your child but inside you are laughing so hard you can’t speak. Well, after the pumpkin “death” we decided to make a tradition of painting pumpkins with the boys along with carving a pumpkin. Today was pumpkin paint day…Ridge, Colton and myself are all covered in head to toe with paint but had a wonderful time. We also added in a few canvases for the boys to paint as Christmas presents (they are buy one get one for one penny at Michael’s).
