This week in Atlanta we’ve had banner weather. Not too hot, not too cold. Which is perfect as we can bust out of the house and play outside. My boys love to be outside. Actually I think “outside” is one of Colton’s favorite words and the fact that he can open the front door and go outside is a little scary.
So yesterday, with 1/2 of Decatur, we headed to the park. We went at the “oh my when is Daddy going to get home” hour …also known as 4 pm and met up with a few friends. It felt great to play outdoors again especially after the cold streak we’ve had for the last month. We stayed for about 2-hours and when we left I’m pretty sure we took a small percentage of the park sand with us as my boys were coated from head to toe. Straight to the bath type of activity.
I keep a sand bucket of toys in the closet next to our door. It has all the colorful plastic junk you get in the Target dollar bins which equals gold on the playground and makes instant best friends.
